The Private Sector Development Coordinating Council unifies Ghana's private sector actors to drive inclusive economic transformation, policy influence, and enterprise growth through evidence-based advocacy, sectoral innovation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Summit Mandate
This summit aims to harmonize and consolidate the private sector into one unit to foster collaboration to bring the needed development.
Primarily, the summit is expected to bring together the industry players in the private sector to deliberate on:
- Government policies and their impact on the private sector businesses
- Involvement of the private sector in policy formulation for prudent and effective implementation.
- Advocate for harmonized governmental support for the private sector development
- Tax policies and their effects on the private sector businesses.
- Develop national private sector development policy document.
- Sign a social contract with the government to design a roadmap for the implementation of private sector development policy.
- Develop a data repository for the private sector for policy formulation and implementation.
- To foster collaboration with government to set up PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY to replace PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT COORDINATING COUNCIL to be managed by the private sector stakeholders with thirty percent government participation.
